The 209th July 4th Celebration in
Lititz Springs Park will take place on Saturday, July 4th 2026.
Home to the second oldest consecutive celebration
of America’s Independence in the United States!
We tried as hard as we could to continue with our fireworks show tonight however, it was not feasible to provide the community with the fireworks show that they have come to know and love. The number one reason was for safety of the public as well as other factors. The forecast for the next few days does not look to be in our favor either as a feasible rain day to move the show to. Sadly, our 2026 show must be canceled with no postponement date to be scheduled. As most of you know this event is the main fundraiser for Lititz Springs Park. If you are able to consider your ticket today as a donation to the park in order to meet our fundraising goal, we are much appreciate it. If you must request a refund, please email us at lititzjuly4th@gmail.com. Thank you for understanding and please know that this difficult decision was not made lightly. We always make these difficult decisions with the best interest of public safety in mind. Weather is one of the only things we can not control. We will get back to the planning of next year’s even in the next few months. Thank you all for your support of Lititz Springs Park. Remember, the park is not a public park. It is owned by the Moravian Church and run by a Board of Trustees of the churches of Lititz. Tax money does not keep this park the beautiful center of town that it is, your donations and fundraisers like the 4th of July does. Thank you again.
In the earliest days of the United States, John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail about the celebration of independence, “It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shows, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.”
(“Bonfires and illuminations” refer directly to what we know as pyrotechnics and firework displays.)
A BIG week of events has been planned
leading up to the 250th Birthday of America on July 4!
In Lititz Springs Park, where time’s gentle stream,
Flows through over two centuries, a patriot’s dream,
Two hundred and nine years have passed with grace,
Yet here we gather in this sacred place.
Beneath the boughs where freedom sings,
Where echoes of liberty take to wings,
We celebrate traditions old yet new,
In Lititz’s embrace, red, white, and blue.
From humble beginnings, a nation’s birth,
To the present day, cherished on Earth,
In every heart, a fire burns bright,
For the ideals that guide us through the night.
On this continuous journey, year by year,
In Lititz Springs Park, our spirits cheer,
For unity, courage, and dreams that soar,
In this land of freedom forevermore.
With laughter and joy, under skies so wide,
We honor the values for which we abide,
In Lititz’s embrace, through time’s gentle arc,
We cherish this 209th Fourth of July in the park.
